A real example
A typical project with 2 tons of steel (2,000 kg) costs $80 for a designer or $20 for a factory to export the NC file. No subscription, no seat license, no hidden fees. If you don't fabricate in a given month, you pay nothing.

You only pay when you download the NC file for fabrication.
Once you finish your project and want to generate the NC file, the system will show the corresponding cost. After completing the payment, the download will be enabled.Everything else remains free: you can model, generate drawings, and download cutlists at no cost.

No. Sketchframer does not have monthly licenses or fixed costs.
The model is designed to follow your real production level. You only pay when you generate an NC file for fabrication. If you don’t produce anything in a given month, you simply don’t pay anything.
-
In most cases, yes.
Traditional software in this industry is usually sold through monthly licenses per user, which means paying a fixed cost every month regardless of how much you produce.
Sketchframer works differently. Since there are no licenses or fixed fees, you only pay when you actually fabricate. This means your costs are directly aligned with your production.
-
We know that projects often require adjustments, and we have taken this into account.
When you purchase an NC file, it includes the possibility of making small modifications without having to pay again. This allows you to correct details or handle changes that commonly arise during the design or review process.
To keep this benefit fair for everyone, the modifications cannot represent more than 10% of the total steel weight of the original project.
-
No. When you fabricate your own project, the NC file cost is $0.01 per kilogram of steel.
However, if the project comes to your factory through the Sketchframer network, the cost is $0.025 per kilogram. This includes the base NC file cost plus a small commission for the project generated through the platform.
This model allows Sketchframer to function not only as a production tool, but also as a channel for receiving new projects.

Yes, absolutely.
If you are a designer working with a factory that does not use Sketchframer, you can still use the platform to model and generate the necessary files. You can also find factories through the platform’s network.
Additionally, remember that modeling, generating drawings, and downloading cutlists are completely free, so you can use Sketchframer to design your projects without needing to fabricate directly.
